Established in 1916, St. Joseph's College is a member of the American Council on Education and the Association of American Colleges and offers a range of academic programs. The college offers degrees in accounting, biology, business administration, chemistry, child study and criminal justice. It also offers classes in psychology, economics, political science, sociology, gerontology, religious studies and advertising. St. Joseph's College is accredited by the Commission on Higher Education, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools and is approved by the New York State Education Department. Additionally, the college provides courses in American studies, business administration, speech pathology, nursing and human resources management. The college library offers books, journals, videos, DVDs and audiotapes. St. Joseph's College is located in Brooklyn and has a campus in Patchogue, N.Y.
