Established in 1968, Pathmark operates more than 140 supermarkets throughout New York, New Jersey and in the city of Philadelphia. Headquartered in Carteret, N.J., Pathmark is one of the leading regional supermarket chains in the United States. Pathmark stores offer a variety of groceries, including meat, dairy, a deli and bakery, dry goods, frozen foods and seafood. Most of the stores also have a pharmacy and floral department. Pathmark partners with Wild Oats Markets and offers more than 150 different natural and organic products, including specialty products, such as imported Italian sodas, balsamic vinegar, organic fruit spreads and flatbread crackers. In addition, it operates a club called Pathmark Pharmacy Advantage Club, which treats a variety of medical conditions in different categories, including allergies, asthma, cardiac problems, cold and cough, thyroid, diabetes and Parkinson s disease. Pathmark employs more than 27,000 associates and has stores located in cities throughout the United States, including Brooklyn, N.Y.
